Victim/Survivor Support

Without support from the community, CASA simply wouldn’t exist. The fact that CASA has been working in the Tampa Bay area and increasing its services since 1977 is testimony to citizens’ commitment to end domestic violence.

Why CASA?
Domestic violence affects the entire community. Each month up to 1,000 domestic abuse police reports are filed – just in south Pinellas County. Sixty percent of workplace violence is related to domestic violence.

Join us in our vital mission to ease suffering and improve lives that have been shattered by domestic violence. Please consider one of the giving options listed below. For additional information contact the development department at 727-895-4912 ext. 114 or sberger@casa-stpete.org.

1. Give Today
Mail your tax-deductible contribution to:

CASA
P.O. Box 414
St. Petersburg, FL 33731

Does your employer match charitable donations? If yes, ask your employer to match your donation to CASA.

2. Give Online Now

Donate to CASA (Community Actions Stops Abuse, Inc.)

3. Sponsor or Attend an Event
CASA has two fundraising events with sponsorship opportunities:

  • CASA Peace Breakfast, December 6, 2012
  • The Good Night's Sleep Lunch, April 19, 2012

4. Give Stock
If you donate shares of appreciated stock, you receive two additional benefits for your generosity: a tax deduction for the total value of your gift, and no capital gains tax on the additional money you made from the appreciation of the stock. Plus, your contribution has a value to CASA now that is far greater than the price you paid for the stock originally.

5. Give a Bequest or a Planned Gift
As you consider your estate plan options, remember that you can include CASA in your planning.

6. Give in Honor or Memory of a Special Person or Date
Remember a loved one or honor a special event in the life of someone dear to you, such as a birthday or a graduation, by making a gift to CASA in her or his name.

7. Give New and Used Items
CASA participants often leave home with only a garbage bag holding their personal belongings.  Donation drives and fundraisers for new and used items mean so much to survivors who must start over with nothing.

  • Used Items: Bring used clothing and household items
    to the CASA Thrift Store
  • New Items: Bring new items to the CASA administration offices during regular business hours M-F from 9-5 p.m.
  • Fundraisers: Involve your entire organization in fundraising for CASA.

8. Give in Other Ways

For more information about fundraisers, donation drives for new items, or volunteering, please contact CASA’s Volunteer Coordinator at 727-895-4912 ext 107 or info@casa-stpete.org.
